LOOKING FOR A BUS?
Each year roughly 20-30 parishes across the Diocese of Richmond and some Knights of Columbus councils sponsor charter buses to transport pilgrims to the March for Life in Washington, DC. We have reached out to parishes and asked for their information to provide you with an up-to-date list of all buses in each applicable region that welcome people from parishes within the Diocese of Richmond. These buses are sponsored by parishes or Knights of Columbus councils and rides should be coordinated directly through the contact person listed for each bus.

GRANT FUNDING FOR BUSES:
We are pleased to have funding available from the Annual Respect Life Grant is for parishes to subsidize the cost of bus transportation to the March for Life in Washington, DC.
This grant application is available for Catholic parishes and Catholic schools in the Diocese of Richmond who wish to apply for a subsidy to help offset the cost of chartering a bus or multiple buses to bring parishioners of the Diocese to attend the March for Life in Washington, DC. A Catholic organization sponsored by a parish may also apply for funding through this grant (i.e. Knights of Columbus council, etc.).
Each grant allocation is allocated by reimbursement to the parish to cover 33% of the final invoice for direct costs of each charter bus, with up to $700 in reimbursement available per bus to the National March for Life in Washington, DC and up to $350 in reimbursement available per bus to the Virginia March for Life in Richmond, VA. Because of the additional distance to these locations, additional reimbursement may be available on a case-by-case basis for parishes located in Deaneries 13 and 14. Gratuity, meals, or lodging for the bus driver are not be included in the reimbursement. It is expected that the parish contribute at least 33% of the cost of the bus, with participants paying no more than 33% of the cost per person.
